Plant Street Academy Announces Second Location in Downtown Clermont for January 2027
Award-winning homeschool enrichment academy expands beyond Winter Garden, bringing entrepreneurship, leadership and real-world learning closer to South Lake County families.

CLERMONT, Fla., Oct. 20, 2026 - Plant Street Academy, an award-winning homeschool enrichment academy headquartered in Winter Garden, is expanding to downtown Clermont with a second location opening in January 2027. The new Clermont location, at The City Center, 620 W. Montrose St., is now accepting enrollment for spring classes beginning Jan. 14, 2027.
The expansion comes in response to growing interest from South Lake County homeschool families, particularly those in Clermont, Minneola and Groveland, who have been traveling to Winter Garden to participate in the academy's enrichment programs.
For families searching for homeschool programs in Clermont, the new location offers a closer-to-home opportunity for students to develop practical skills, build confidence and connect what they learn to everyday life.
"We've had families from Clermont, Minneola and Groveland making the drive to Winter Garden because they believe in what we're teaching," said Lenka Brady, founder of Plant Street Academy. "Opening in Clermont allows us to bring that same experience closer to their communities while continuing to give students a place where they're encouraged to think independently, take chances, learn from mistakes and discover what they're capable of."
Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom
Plant Street Academy offers parent-directed enrichment programs that complement homeschooling through hands-on, real-world learning. Students develop skills in communication, leadership, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, financial literacy and practical life skills.
The curriculum is rooted in the award-winning Young Founder philosophy: There are no failures in life, just learning lessons.
Rather than focusing solely on getting the right answer, students are challenged to ask questions, explore ideas, build, communicate, solve problems, reflect and try again. The approach encourages students to become confident thinkers who can apply what they learn beyond the classroom.
The academy's Young Founder program was voted Best of the Best – Best Kids Program 2026, recognizing its approach to helping young people develop entrepreneurial thinking and essential life skills.
