Leadership Studio
with Coach Dan

Building Stronger Leaders From the Inside Out
Leadership starts long before adulthood. Leadership Studio at Plant Street Academy gives teens the opportunity to develop the confidence, character, mindset, communication, and resilience they need to navigate relationships, challenges, social pressures, and their future.
Facilitated by Coach Dan, our interactive 4-week series go beyond traditional academics and focus on the real-world skills young people need to thrive.
1. Developing the Leader Within You
explores what true leadership looks like from character and influence to problem-solving, self-discipline, vision, relationships, and serving others.
2. Forged to Succeed
focuses on mental performance and personal development, helping teens understand communication styles, manage negative thinking, navigate social media and self-image, and learn how to set and achieve meaningful goals.
Two powerful series. Practical skills. Lessons they can carry into adulthood.
Homeschool Enrichment

Our parent-directed education model
At Plant Street Academy, we believe education should do more than teach students what to know. It should teach them how to think, communicate, solve problems, and confidently apply what they learn. Our parent-directed education model complements traditional academics by bringing learning to life through critical thinking, entrepreneurship, communication, civics, philosophy, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.
Students aren’t simply asked to memorize information.
They investigate it, question it, discuss it, connect it, and learn how to use it.
At Plant Street Academy we teach our student how to apply what they learn in the real world.
Led by Dorothea Holcomb, Director of Homeschool Education, and supported by experienced educators, mentors, and community professionals, our program partners with families to develop capable, curious, well-rounded young people. We believe deeply in what students can accomplish when they are challenged, trusted, and given meaningful opportunities to discover their strengths.
Our goal isn't simply to prepare students for the next grade. It’s to prepare them to think clearly, communicate confidently, lead with purpose, and navigate the real world with resolve.

Award Winning Educational Approach

Once a student believes in themselves, everything else starts to click.
We know choosing the right homeschool enrichment program isn’t just about academics, it’s about your child. Our students don’t sit through lectures or busy work. They learn in small groups, hands-on, guided by mentors who have real experience in business, leadership, and communication. Students ask questions, test ideas, solve real problems, and start to see what they’re capable of.
We focus on each child as an individual helping them build confidence, find their strengths, and feel comfortable using their voice.
We've seen it first hand - once a student believes in themselves, everything else starts to click. Plant Street Academy is a real-world preparation for who they’re becoming.
Being named 2026 Best of the Best – Best Kids Program is especially meaningful because this recognition came from the parents and community who have seen the impact of our programs firsthand.
This award reinforces what we believe deeply: when education connects learning to life, kids become more confident, capable, and prepared for the world ahead.
